ALONE

By Conrad Pierce

Alone I write, alone I fight, alone I am quite.
Alone I am loud, alone I am proud- away from the crowd.
Alone I dissolve, alone I resolve, alone I solve.
Alone I am, alone I be, alone invisible nobody can see.
Alone I die, alone I live, Alone I give.
Alone I was, alone I buzz, alone I dust fuzz.
Alone I circle, alone I erkel, alone I lurk.
Lurk in the house, lurk in the town, lurk like a clown.
Lurk like a jerk, lurk like a fool, lurk like it's cool.
Lurk in the bed, lurk in the shed, lurk in the head.
Lurk like a drunk, lurk like a punk, lurk like a skunk.
Lurk in the chair, lurk in my hair, lurk in a bear.
Lurk like a tree, lurk like my knee, lurk like a fee.
Lurk with a frown, lurk with a crown, lurk with my own.
Own I dont, own I won't.
Own it is, own it isn't.
Own I do, own I will.
Own it now, own it how.
Own I am, Own I'm not.
Own it then, own it soon.
Owned it when, owned it at noon.
Noon now here, noon bringing fear.
Noon is afar, noon is for the car.
Noon now dead, noon to be ahead.
Noon is alive, noon will bring drive.
Noon now done, noon never fun.
Noon is never, noon is forever.
Noon now, noon is even.
Even is odd, even is never fraud.
Even did add, even did me glad.
Even is a friend, even I commend.
Even did laugh, even had a path.
Even is a lie, even is spry.
Even did die, even did cry.
Even this poem isn't, strange uneven leaving.

Will Not Part My Hair

I will not part my hair, my head is not the sea and you will not make it scare. Jesus is still risen, yet you seek to be now "fair"-against the laws of righteous in earth you give your prayer. The cloth from which we're grown you seek to make a tear, two you come as one but we see you as a pair. Three you disagree with your boldness grows a snare, caut within the masses seek to part their hair.
